 STATISTICS - are they just lies, damn lies?

Statistics are great aren't they? 100% of humans are born with a brain (but don't quote me on that), a quarterly increase of 0.4% in GDP and we avoid the word recession.

Here's some other statistics worth noting especially when you are searching for key areas to target. Recent analysis of one of our clients regional databases provided the following:

• Postcode 4350 contained 3,629 guests and was number 2 in the Top 10 postcodes
• Postcode 2153 contained 3,077 guests and was number 4
• Postcode 4069 contained 2,406 guests and was number 9

Now, when you look at it 4350 is the winner in pure number terms however when you consider the number of households in these 3 postcodes you get a different scenario:

• Postcode 4350 contains 42,692 households - the penetration is therefore 8%
• Postcode 2153 contains 18,088 households - the penetration is therefore 17%
• Postcode 4069 contains 11,481 households - the penetration is therefore 21%

The potential from 4069 is much greater than that from 4350!

Welcome back Kimberley and hello to Abbie

The ITD Team would like to welcome back Kimberley who has returned from maternity leave. Kimberley will be based in Sydney and managing all NSW and ACT accounts, client support and training.

ITD goes Global

ITD has recently completed licencing arrangements with Pitney Bowes Business Insight (PBBI) and can now clean and validate address records from over 235 countries world-wide.

ITD is the first client of PBBI to incorporate this process and we are excited at the potential this gives us to deliver our srvices across the globe. It will also enhance existing client databases.

We are currently incorporating processes and will have further updates in future ITD Downloads. In the meantime if you would like to enquire about our global address solutions please contact Peter Johnson.

ITD Data Cleaners clean up

Congratulations to the ITD Data Cleaners who have won the Queensland Corporate Games Basketball competition played at the University on May 15th.

This is the second year in row that they have cleaned up and won the event, fighting 20 other corporate teams for the Premiership!

The Cleaners have been invited to play in Melbourne at the Nationals later this year!
